Appointments

Do I need an appointment to book?

Yes! All of our bridal appointments are by appointment only, giving you exclusive use of the boutique and a relaxed, one-to-one experience.

Is there a charge for appointments?

No – we offer free appointments with complimentary fizz and soft drinks.

How long does a bridal appointment last?

Our appointments last around 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to browse, try on dresses and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

How many guests can I bring?

We recommend bringing up to 4 guests so everyone can relax and enjoy the appointment comfortably. If you want to bring along more guests, we just kindly ask you let us know before your appointment.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Nude underwear is ideal, and if you already have your wedding shoes, feel free to bring them along.

Dresses

When should I start shopping for my wedding dress?

We recommend starting around 12–18 months before your wedding. Our gowns are made to order and can take up to 6 months to arrive, with alterations also needing to be factored in.

What are your dress prices?

Our gowns start from £800, and go up to £2500 with most dresses falling between £1,200–£1,500.

What are your sample sizes?

We stock sample gowns between sizes UK8 - UK18. We can order dresses up to size UK22.

Are your dresses made to order?

Yes. All of our gowns are made to order especially for you to your measurements.

Alterations

Do you offer alterations?

While we don't carry out alterations in-house, we're happy to recommend experienced local seamstresses.

Will my dress need alterations?

Almost every bride requires some alterations to achieve the perfect fit.

Accessories

Do you sell veils?

Yes! We have a beautiful collection of veils to compliment your gown.

Can I buy accessories even if I bought my dress elsewhere?

Of course! We'd love to help you find the perfect finishing touches.

Ordering & Collection

How long will my dress take to arrive?

Lead times vary by designer but are typically around 4-6 months. In some cases we can get dresses in much quickly - please contact us if your wedding is less than 7 months in advance.

What happens when my dress arrives?

We'll contact you as soon as it arrives to arrange your collection appointment.

How long can you store my dress?

We ask that dresses are collected within 30 days of arrival unless otherwise agreed.

Where are you located?

Belle Vie Bridal is based in The Old Courthouse, Pontefract, West Yorkshire

Is there parking available?

Yes! We have a carpark to the rear of the building. Alternatively, there are a few nearby carparks including Newgate South Carpark and Newgate North Carpark. 

Can I take photos during my appointment?

Absolutely! We'd love you to capture those special moments.
